Forgiveness

– the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.

Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs. Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create this balance of body, mind and consciousness according to one’s own individual constitution and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance. Such emotions like anger, envy, jealousy, and un-forgiveness can cause imbalance.

It’s no wonder that forgiveness is at the forefront of religions across all cultures. Forgiveness releases us from the hold of hurt, disappointment, and discouragement. Understanding the importance of forgiveness has nothing to do with the other person or the offense.

Forgiveness transforms anger and hurt into healing and peace. Forgiveness can help you overcome feelings of depression, anxiety, and rage, as well as personal and relational conflicts. … Forgiveness means giving up the suffering of the past and being willing to forge ahead with far greater potential for inner freedom.

Forgiveness doesn’t necessarily come easy, but can come with practice. Being intentional about your feelings and practicing compassionate self love is a start. Try practicing a beautiful Hawaiian teaching about forgiveness  called “Ho’oponopono” (pronounced HO-oh-Po-no-Po-no).

“I’M SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME, THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU”

That’s it. And isn’t that something we all need to hear? “I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you.” It’s very touching, especially given how simple and universal these words are.

With regular practice, reciting these four simple phrases helps develop self-love and self-esteem at the times when we need it most. In this way, it’s both a lullaby to the self and a guaranteed insightful way to approach forgiving other people.
